§ 34-409. Adjustment of water bills.

  • (a)

    Unusually high water bills resulting from leakage occurring in the customer's plumbing system will be adjusted for a period not to exceed the previous two months, upon notification by the customer, so long as the leakage is corrected within 30 days after its discovery. The basis for the adjustment will be reduction of the water utility bill by one-half the excess over the customer's normal bill.

    (b)

    Billings which the city has made erroneously may be corrected retroactively for a period not to exceed one year upon acknowledgement by the city of the error.
