§ 34-412. Utility charges considered a debt.

  • Utility service charges levied in accordance with this chapter shall be a debt due to the city, which, if not paid within 15 days after it shall be due and payable, shall be deemed delinquent and may be recovered by civil action, in addition to other lawful remedies, in the name of the city against the applicant, co-applicant, or both. Discontinuance of service shall be a remedy in addition to the remedies provided herein for nonpayment of delinquent accounts.
