§ 8-55. Definitions.

  • For the purposes of this article, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:

    Amusement device includes, but is not limited to, pool table, billiard table, pinball machine, video game (includes machines which are part of the operation of the state lottery), jukebox, card room, card table, shuffleboard, digger/crane machine, and any game of skill or chance.

    Dance floor means any area designated for dancing in connection with a business that sells for consumption on the premises alcoholic beverages or food.

    Regular closing time means the latest time occurring at regular intervals at which the subject business will permit a patron to remain upon the premises.

    Vending machine means any device whose primary intended function is to automatically exchange goods for coins or tokens inserted in the machine.
