§ 2-156. Duties.

The duties of the Cultural Awareness Commission are to foster a community spirit which promotes human dignity, harmony and understanding within and among the various ethnic groups which make up the citizenry of the greater city community.
(1)

The Commission shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and City Council on matters relating to cultural interface with the community.

(2)

The Commission shall also be responsible for ongoing programs and activities to promote the enhancement of cultural awareness and cross-cultural communication for the community.
