§ 8-321. Grounds for denial of application.

  • The City Council, upon receiving the report, shall approve or disapprove the request for license, by roll call vote, which vote shall be recorded in the minutes of the Council. The Council may deny any application for license if it finds that:

    (1)

    The applicant's financial responsibility and experience would be such that the person's operation of a taxicab business would pose a reasonable hazard to public health, safety and welfare;

    (2)

    The applicant or officers thereof having prior criminal convictions;

    (3)

    There is insufficient demand for additional taxicab service.
